What are Vitamin B6 indications?
Pyridoxine is indicated for the treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency and for the prevention of isoniazid-induced peripheral neuropathy. It is also approved by Health Canada in combination with doxylamine to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, back pain, dizziness, fever, headache, liver and liver dysfunction, hepatitis, macrocytic anemia, Meniere's disease, motion sickness, muscle pain, and numbness. Tingling, neuralgia, sciatica, neuritis, secondary anemia, menstrual irregularities (dysmenorrhea), toothache, and minor pain are tolerated.
What are Vitamin B6 side effects ?
Numbness or tingling, drowsiness, unsteady gait, decreased sensation.
Sensory nerve damage, headache, loss of appetite, abdominal pain.
What are PYRIDOXINE Cautions?
Long-term use at high doses may cause nerve damage (neuropathy). Do not give intravenously to heart patients.
